zombiesThere have been numerous suggestions as to how to save Detroit, and now one investor wants to build a zombie theme park to help breathe new life back into the struggling city.

Entrepreneur Mark Siwak wants to build an entire zombie apocalypse-style theme park set in run down areas of the Motor City. The park, which would be called “Z World,” would be a huge, 200-acre zombie theme park, with patrons being forced into “survival mode.”

Yes, Siwak wants park guests to really fend off zombies. He hopes to raise about $140,000 to create Z World.

“There are formal proposals to essentially abandon some of Detroit’s neighborhoods. That’s not a solution,” Siwak says. “Collectively we must be more creative than that. Let’s start something fun and unique that will revitalize an area while creating some jobs for Detroiters.”

Siwak wants Z-World to be built in one of Detroit’s many derelict neighborhood.

He says he’s already received resumes from hundreds of residents who want to work at the tourist attraction.

Zombie Theme Park

“While zombies are great, the real neat thing about this project is the potential to inject some life into a forgotten neighborhood – with the opportunity to work with neighborhood groups and organization,” he added.
