“Though his time on earth has ended, he is speaking with Jesus now in his heavenly home,” reads a statement on the speaker’s official Facebook page. “The angels in heaven are rejoicing and his family is celebrating a life well lived.”
He was 86 years old.
Ziglar’s executive assistant, Laurie Magers, says Ziglar died on Wednesday at a hospital near Dallas, Texas.
Zig Ziglar was a prolific speaker who often spoke at events alongside world leaders including many U.S. presidents and former British PM Margaret Thatcher.
Ziglar’s speaking career endured for more than 50 years before he retired in 2010.
