Back in March, we wrote about how the White House didn't want YouTube to "cookie" visitors that were watching the videos that appear on the official Whitehouse.gov channel and website.  YouTube usually does this automatically with all visitors.

To satisfy the White House, YouTube added an option to set cookies in a sort of "delayed mode," which would only track data on viewers that actually click on the video itself.

Today, YouTube has begun to completely ignore cookies collected from visitors to Whitehouse.gov.

This is being done only for the White House and only to satisfy their request. It's an interesting move that makes you wonder, don't the rest of us deserve the same amount of privacy?  Or does your last name have to be Obama in order to enjoy this priveledge?
