Here's some exciting news: MySpace has just launched its official toolbar.
The MySpace Toolbar will let you access your MySpace activity notifications regardless of what site you happen to be browsing.
MySpace has been testing this thing since last year so it looks like they've finally decided it was time to release it to all. Beginning today, it will be available internationally to all users, and the site will begin to publicize it.
The toolbar is available on Windows for Firefox and IE users (no Chrome support yet), as well as on Mac for Firefox (no Safari support yet either - nice job guys). You can grab the MySpace Toolbar here.
I really hate toolbars. In fact, the only ones I use any more are the Roboform toolbar to remember all of my passwords and, occasionally, the SEO Quake toolbar. I really don't see how a toolbar will help them gain ground on Facebook, which is smashing MySpace in much the same way that a Buick smashes a fly. What do you think?
