Mad mistresses may mean mayhem.
The longtime mistress of Charles Phillips, president of Oracle software, has erected a gigantic billboard in the middle of Times Square in an attempt to embarrass the honcho.
The billboard shows Phillips hugging YaVaughnie Wilkins, 42, and reads “Charles and YaVaughnie” with a caption beneath that says “You are my soulmate forever!”
It also shows a link to http://www.charlesphillipsandyavaughniewilkins.com, which is basically an online photo album containing pictures of the two on vacation, laughing, and just generally having a good time together.
The designer of the website, Bela Kovács, has confirmed that Wilkins was the one who hired him to build the site, except he thought that Wilkins was Philips’ wife.
“My understanding was that the site was for a gift to Charles, that’s what I was told,” Kovács says. “She was ecstatic when it finally launched and the whole thing was done.”
The website currently seems to be down. Go figure.
In a statement, Phillips, 50, admitted to the extramarital affair.
“I had an 8½-year serious relationship with YaVaughnie Wilkins. My divorce proceedings began in 2008. The relationship with Ms. Wilkins has since ended and we both wish each other well.”
Looks like she kinda’ pulled on of these deals on him.
The billboard is also up at a second location in Manhattan, San Francisco and Atlanta.
