Yahoo has managed to pull off a coup by purchasing the domain name OMG.com for just $80,000. The company just made the purchase last week.
Sure, that may seem like a lot of money, but remember that, not too long ago, candy.com sold for $3 million and toys.com sold for $5.1 million.
This should be the perfect domain name for Yahoo, which already hosts a TMZ-like clone called OMG.
OMG.com, which stands for "Oh My God" in modern text messaging and instant messaging shorthand, doesn't currently resolve to a web site, but it's probably a safe bet that Yahoo will move its OMG site over to the new domain.
