Sources indicate that a fresh round of 700 layoffs have begun over at Yahoo.
New CEO Carol Bartz had indicated this round of layoffs was coming. In fact, the actual number seems to be around 600 people affected.
Many of those who were laid off were informed during the day today. Others that were traveling received notice while out on the road.
Some of the layoffs fall into the category of “shocking”, which means we’re probably not only talking about coders and programmers here, but also some Yahoo execs.
