Yahoo has announced that the first phase of their home page test is pretty much complete. Yahoo has received a ton feedback since launching their limited test of the new home page back in September 2008. Now, they have decided to try a few new things.
For one, Yahoo has decided to add more 3rd-party apps from the likes of eBay, Forbes.com, Wired, etc. They have decided to improve the Sports and Finance apps by posting schedules, team standings, other blog links and more, plus they are also testing one-click access to your stock portfolios and quotes. You can also now customize the applications by adding them or removing them as you see fit.
The biggest change so far is that Yahoo has lightened up the color scheme of the home page, based on user feedback. Here is a picture of the new look:
