moto x best trickOn Saturday, day two of the 15th anniversary of the X-Games got underway. Big skateboard stunts were pushed to the limit as we saw several attempted 720′s with huge 70-foot gaps. The unreal 900 was sought after on the mega ramp.

Bob Burnquist, the 2-time defending champion, was after his third championship. This has only been done by Danny Way from 2004 to 2006. Danny was slated to compete but sustained an injury while practicing for the new Big Air Rail Jam. Way dislocated his kneecap and and had to pop it back into place.

Jake Brown has been in over 10 straight X-Games and still hadn’t won a gold medal. Brown went all-out and attempted the 900, which Tony Hawk brought into the limelight back in 1999. Some have managed to pull it off since them, but not on the mega ramp.

Brown tried it twice…and failed both times.

Still, Brown managed to take the gold after Burnquist wiped out attempting to cross the gap with a modified japan air.

The Moto X Best Trick was another hotly anticipated event with a stacked core of competitors including the returning Travis Pastrana and the two-time champ going for the threepeat, Klye Loza.
