Follow the whole story here: Mosque at Ground Zero

OK, we’ve officially lost our minds.

Plans are in the works for a mosque (a Muslim house of worship), topped by a 13-story cultural center with a swimming pool, to be built in a building damaged by the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

Guess when it’s set to open?  September 11, 2011…the 10th anniversary of the day a bunch of extremists tried to take a swipe at us.

South Park gets censored for depicting the likeness of the prophet Mohammad but this is OK?  Really?

Paul Sipos, member of Community Board 1 in New York, says he has no problem with opening a mosque…somewhere else.

“If the Japanese decided to open a cultural center across from Pearl Harbor, that would be insensitive,” Sipos said. “If the Germans opened a Bach choral society across from Auschwitz, even after all these years, that would be an insensitive setting. I have absolutely nothing against Islam. I just think: Why there?”

Amen.  Why there?

A rally against the mosque will be held on June 6, D-Day, by the human-rights group Stop Islamicization of America.

Nelly Braginsky, who lost her son Alexander in the attacks, sums it up best:

“It’s a slap in our face!”
