WTF: Man vs. Automatic Door

There are some things in life that are beyond explanation. Why is "abbreviated" such a long word? Why do we park on the driveway and drive on the parkway?

Why did this guy think that this was the best way to open an automatic door?

I know he didn't die, but he really should get some sort of honorary Darwin Award...
