WTF: Falling Fish Shatters Driver’s Windshield

Authorities in Ohio say that a fish, a Lake Erie freshwater drum, known as a sheepshead, smashed a car windshield on Tuesday when an eagle dropped it from a height of around 40 feet.

Leighann Niles states that the impact of the fish striking her vehicle felt like a brick smashing into her Toyota's windshield. Niles, from the Cleveland suburb of South Euclid was on a vacation along the lake in Marblehead.

The woman says she had just escaped damage in another animal incident just prior to the encounter with the fish.  She says a that truck truck had struck a small bird, which then hit her back passenger door and startled her 5-year-old daughter.

Perhaps Ms. Niles should stay away from automobiles for a while.
