brett favre goatAuto repairman James Prusci is the hero…not the goat. On Friday, he found something quite unusual in the trunk of a Chevy Malibu.

A woman pulled up to a Tires Plus shop in Minnesota and asked if anyone had time to repair a belt.

“Oh, by the way,” said the woman said. “I have a goat in my trunk…and it’s alive.”

The woman apparently hoped to butcher the goat later and was on her way to St. Paul when the car had other ideas.

Prusci began the repairs but could hear the goat crying after after about 10 minutes.

“We cracked open the trunk, you know, so it could breathe,” he said. “And sure enough, there it was. It kind of poked its head up.”

Here’s where the story really gets bizarre. The goat was painted in Minnesota Vikings purple and gold and, shaved into its side, was the No. 4…the number of Brett Favre.

The Brett Favre goat was lying on its side with its feet bound. Prusci decided to call in animal control.

The woman returned about an hour later and paid for the work that was done. As she walked toward her car, an animal control vehicle and two police cars arrived on the scene.

The Brett Favre goat is now in the care of a local veterinarian.

The fate of the woman is unknown at this hour. Prusci is just glad that the Brett Favre goat is all right.

“It was definitely the most out-of-the norm thing I’ve ever seen.”
