Lauren Kornacki is being hailed as a hero after doing the unthinkable.
Upon realizing that her father, Alec Kornacki, had become trapped under a car he had been working on in his garage, the 22-year-old lifted up the 2.5-ton BMW and pulled him to safety.
It flashed like, oh my God, I’m going to lose my dad,” the Virginia resident said. “I knew I had to get his heart beating again.”
So she performed CPR and very likely saved her dad’s life.
Alec Kornacki is being treated at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center. He sustained some broken ribs and other fractures, but suffered no permanent. He is still in the ICU.
