Two teachers who were caught simulating a lap dance at a pep rally have ignited a media firestorm now that the video has gone viral on YouTube.
The video, which was shot by a camera-phone last Wednesday during a pep rally for students at Churchill High School, shows students laughing and screaming as a male teacher gives a female teacher a lap dance.
By Thursday, students were spreading the video around on Facebook and, by Monday, it was featured on CBC TV.
On Tuesday, one parent remarked about the video getting national attention.
“They so, so crossed the line,”said the parent, whose daughter played the video for her last week.
“It embarrassed me. While we were first watching it I said, ‘they crossed the line.’ My daughter said, ‘wait, it gets better.’”
The video shows the male teacher moving his head down toward the female teacher’s crotch and also grinding his rear end on her crotch.

The two teachers, one of whom was identified by students as phys-ed instructor Chrystie Fitchner, have been suspended without pay after the spirit dance before 100 students as young as 13 years old, according to Winnipeg School Division trustee Mike Babinsky. The identity of the male teacher could not be confirmed.
“They look to me like younger [teachers] who got way too into it,” Babinsky said, adding that the stunt was “totally inappropriate.”
“You can’t just look the other way in situations like this. By the same token, if you were to turn on the TV, within the next hour you’d find something similar to that on a music station. Society is sending mixed messages.”
