F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You
Twitter made a big announcement today.
Twitter all but admitted that its latest test, a search box at the top of the homepage, was a flop. Instead, they've gone back to the drawing board and will adopt their original redesign schematic with a new 'Discovery Engine'.
Here is how the new redesign will look, from conception to implementation...
A select few Twitter users will being seeing this new interface in the very near future. Twitter will also be testing some additional new features...
If there’s a search you want to do on a regular basis, you can “save” the search. That will place the word or term permanently in your sidebar for easy access. So if you want to know what people are saying about the city you live in, the products you use, or just something weird, it becomes a link on your home page.
Last but certainly not least, “Trends” will also be added to Twitter, which promises to operate much like the “Trending topics” you can currently check at Search.Twitter.com.
