sadie terrier

The results are in from the 2010 edition of the ever-popular Westminster Dog Show.  The big winner this year was Sadie, a black, 4-year-old Scottish Terrier. Sadie managed to defeat around 2,500 other contestants at this year’s 134th annual show.

Judge Elliot Weiss called Sadie the “total package.”

“This is the complete dog.  That’s what you want a Scottie to look like,” said Weiss at Madison Square Garden.

The competition went off mostly without incident, although at one point, protesters disrupted the event.  Two women ran out to the winner’s circle holding signs that read, “Mutts rule.”  Apparently the women aren’t too happy about the Westminster Dog Show’s favoritism toward pure breeds.  Eventually, the two women were removed by security.

With a big win under her belt, Sadie will surely now be seen all over the TV making the talk-show circuit rounds.
