CAUTION: SPOILER ALERT! There, now you’ve been warned.
The TV series ‘House‘, which airs on FOX every Monday night, delivered the ultimate bombshell last night.
The show delivered a completely shocking death, Lawrence Kutner (played by Kal Penn) committed suicide. Kutner’s suicide on ‘House’ has literally sent the web into total meltdown as stunned fans search for answers.
At the time of this writing, no less than 53 of Google‘s top 100 searches within the past hour deal with last night’s episode of ‘House’ entitled, “Simple Explanation”.
FOX had this one in the bag from the very start.
Within minutes of the episode airing on the east coast, a memorial page had gone live and a tribute video was sent out.
What was the point of all this? Shock value? Ratings?
Kutner’s death really came out of left field. If FOX was simply looking to create a viral firestorm, it worked.
Well played, FOX. Well played.
