Curiosity Landing MarsHere’s an interesting look at the moment NASA’s Curiosity probe landed on the surface of the planet Mars.

The video below captures the NASA TV stream along with the Eyes on the Solar System computer simulation that was using live telemetry data to show what was happening in near real-time.

It’s pretty awesome seeing the entire mission control room burst into cheers at around the 5:30 mark when the landing is confirmed. Then, the first images start arriving at around the 7:30 mark.
