UPDATE: Turns out Mariah Carey WAS drunk.
Mariah Carey has created a lot of buzz with her bizarre, loopy acceptance speech on Tuesday at the Palm Springs International Film Festival awards bash.
Carey won the award for Breakthrough Actress for her role in “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire”.

Before she began her speech, she appeared a little loopy and said, “Please forgive me, because I’m a little bit, um …”
Someone in the audience shouted, “Drunk!” to which Carey responded, “Yeah!”
Later on in the night, Sean Penn, while on stage to present another award, said: “Think anything’s going to make YouTube tonight?”
Yup, sure did.
