There is a new game, or “meme”, circulating on Twitter where users are encouraged to post their “Twitter porn name”. The game, which is being called TwitterHit, (or #twitterhit, #twitterpornnames, etc), asks users to base this name upon information which could be used against them later.

- The name of the street you grew up on
- The name of your first teacher
Is any of this sounding familiar yet? There is one more…

Yes, that’s right. Users playing this game are exposing several different pieces of information that are all often used by online companies as a means of identification.
So, in playing the TwitterHit game, should someone else be able to figure out who you really are, you could be in deep trouble, with many of your online accounts compromised.
The best solution? Don’t play TwitterHit or TwitterPornNames.
