Microsoft Technet has just issued a warning about Microsoft Office Excel.
Microsoft is investigating some new instances of a vulnerability in Microsoft Office Excel that could allow remote code execution if a user opens a certain type of Excel document.
Currently, they are only aware of limited and targeted attacks attempting to take advantage of the vulnerability.
Microsoft is working with its partners to create an update or service pack to defend against the issue.
Customers in North America who think they might be affected are encouraged to call Microsoft Product Support Services at 1-866-PCSAFETY.
International users can get support from their local Microsoft subsidiaries. For more information about how to contact Microsoft for support issues, visit the International Support Web site.
