First we had angels in Colorado, now we have the Virgin Mary in New Jersey.
Catholics are flocking en masse to a tree trunk that supposedly bears a knot resembling the Holy Mother.
Local resident Maria Baez says a woman named Carmen Lopez witnessed a heavenly light around the tree, but was too scared to check it out. Shortly thereafter, Baez had a similar vision near the tree.
Baez says she was drawn to the tree by a light and was greeted by the Virgin Mary herself, according to The Inquisitr.
“She saw a light and it was the Virgin. She went on to work, but she was frightened. When I got here I saw her: she said ‘I’m the Virgin.’ I was speechless.”
The base of the tree is now draped in flowers and rosaries, and local police have erected a metal barricade around the tree. A squad car also patrols nearby to keep an eye on the crowd.
Take a look at the photos and videos below. What do you think? Is this really something supernatural, or just a strange looking knot in a tree?
