Matt Giraud sang My Funny Valentine on American Idol’s Top 5 “Rat Pack” performance tonight.
Matt’s mentor, Jamie Foxx, didn’t have much to offer in the way of suggestions, but later suggested that he change the key. It seemed like a bad idea at first as Matt seemed to have a lot of difficulty with the lower key.
In the end, it did allow him to totally nail the ending, though, so maybe it paid off. Either way, give Matt Giraud credit for picking a song as difficult as this one.
