Two people were killed today in Murfreesboro, TN, when a tornado ripped through the town.
The twister was reported by numerous eyewitnesses and hospital officials said that two people were killed and at least 13 people were injured.
The National Weather Service said it couldn’t confirm a tornado struck until later Friday. Numerous weather warnings were issued for Tennessee on Friday.
Dispatchers at the county Emergency Management Agency said the area had been “heavily impacted” and it was in “response phase” after multiple witness accounts reports of a tornado on the ground around noon today.
Power was out in several parts of the town and many homes are said to be damaged.
Video of the tornado is already circulating like wildfire on the internet.
