v V Sneak Preview (VIDEO)I have to admit, I've been waiting for this day for a long time.  Growing up in the '80s, V was one of my favorite TV shows of all time.

Correction, the two mini-series, V and V: The Final Battle, were my favorite shows of all time.  The weekly TV series that developed thereafter was a bit of a disappointment.

So hopefully, ABC gets it right tonight with the premiere of the re-vamped and modernized V, which begins as a four-week event, with nine more episodes to come later.

V's pilot episode was very well-received by advertisers and critics, but ABC's decision to start the show two months earlier than originally thought, partly to avoid American Idol and the broadcast of the Winter Olympics, led to script problems, which forced several reshoots and a multi-week production break.

Fortunately, the reviews still seem to be very good so far.  Morena Baccarin looks absolutely stunning as Anna and I'm excited to see Elizabeth Mitchell (FBI agent Erica Evans) in something other that LOST.
