F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You
The original "V" miniseries was one of the best science fiction television events of the 1980s. Yes, this was the original "Independence Day".
Mark Singer, Jane Badler, Michael Ironside, Robert Englund (that's Freddie Krueger to you), I can recite many of the cast members and great moments from memory. When this show first aired, I was glued to the set.
A couple of years later, and we got "V: The Final Battle," the epic conclusion where the future of Earth hung in the balance. It was followed up with a fairly craptastic ongoing TV series that didn't last very long, but we won't hold that against them.
Now, ABC is setting out to reboot this sci-fi classic with an all-new "V" coming soon.
From the looks of the trailer, it might not be half-bad. Judge for yourself, here are the first two trailers for "V" on ABC...
