Is America’s Great Recession ending? Perhaps.
Employers eased up on layoffs last month, cutting only 247,000 jobs, the fewest in 12 months, and the unemployment rate dropped to 9.4 percent, its first downward movement in 15 months.
The news was much better than expected and could indicate that the recession is finally drawing to a close.
Analysts were forecasting job losses to slow to about 320,000 and the unemployment rate to hike up to 9.6 percent.
That’s great news, folks! Hey, that means that even THESE people might be able to get a job…
