Uma Thurman Split with Arpad Busson Confirmed

Uma Thurman has confirmed that she’s split up with boyfriend Arpad Busson.

A spokesperson for Thurman says that the couple parted ways about two months ago.

The couple began seeing each other during the summer of 2007 and got engaged a year later, when Busson presented Thurman with an 8-carat diamond engagement ring. She will be returning the ring to him.

The same rep also vehemently denied rumors that she was romantically involved with Robert Pattinson of the Twilight franchise.

Thurman hasn’t even met Pattinson, says the rep: “That is actually funny. Uma hasn’t even been in the same room as Pattinson.”

Thurman will be starring in the upcoming “Bel Ami” with Pattinson. The film is about a decadent age in France when a young impressario slept his way to the top with rich women. Sounds like the way to go, if you ask me.

“Bel Ami” is based on Guy de Maupassant‘s 1885 novel.

Prior to becoming engaged to Busson, Thurman dated Andre Balazs from 2004 to 2006. She also has two children with Ethan Hawke, to whom she was married from 1998-2004.

Busson is the father of Elle Macpherson’s two kids.

Thurman admitted that she still loves Hawke.

“I love the man still,” she said. “Hey, we have two kids together. That’s very special. I’ll always love him.”
