US Debt ClockThe U.S. Debt Clock is a billboard-sized sign which continuously updates itself to reflect the current level of U.S. public debt, along with every American family’s portion of it.

It recently made headlines when the national U.S. debt soared above the $10 trillion dollar level and it ran out of digits to accurately display the current debt level.

The U.S. debt clock is is currently located on Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) in Manhattan, New York.  The clock is making headlines again, this time as a subtle reminder of how deeply in debt the U.S. truly is.

The recent recession has spelled higher unemployment levels and lower revenue expectations for corporations, which also means less tax revenue for most of America.

Let’s hope that the U.S. debt clock gets that extra digit soon.  Of course, what would be even better would be to not need it.
