Willie Maxine Perry, mother of movie producer Tyler Perry, has died.
Tyler Perry informed the world about the death of his mother, who was 64, on his website. He simply thanked his loyal fans for their support, but provided no details on the Tuesday death.
Perry has often said that his mother was the inspiration behind his most renowned character, Madea.
Willie Maxine Perry taught preschool and spent the majority of her life working at the New Orleans Jewish Community Center.
