We here at Blippitt are excited (and just a little bit freaked out) to be witnessing history in the making later today.
By 1 p.m. EST, we will more than likely be starting to see our second blizzard in less than a week creep into the region.

So far, we received almost two feet of snow on December 19 in the Blizzard of 2009. We then received 24.8 inches of snow (officially at BWI, much more in many other areas) this past Saturday in the Blizzard of 2010 Part I.
Now, the Blizzard of 2010 Part II is bearing down on us and we could see another 18-24 inches of fresh snow by tomorrow night. We only need another 2 inches to break the record for the all-time snowiest winter on record.
I like snow as much as the next guy (even a bit more, probably), but this is ridiculous!
Do your stretching, clean off those shovels, get your Toro snow blowers fired up, and break out the Snickers, ’cause we’re not going anywhere for a while.
Stay tuned for more.
