French authorities in Brazil have confirmed that two of the passengers who were on board the ill-fated Air France flight 447 were linked to Islamic terrorist groups.
After the Air France jet had crashed, agents with France’s DGSE (the French equivalent of the CIA) were dispatched to Brazil. After studying the passenger manifest, the agents found that the names of two of the passengers also appeared on top secret documents listing the names of radical Muslims thought to pose a threat to France.
This information is now being called “highly significant” because France has gotten several terrorist threats ever since they sent troops into Afghanistan.
Thus far, all of the evidence in the Air France flight 447 crash has indicated a massive equipment failure aboard the plane. Still, no one has ruled out a possible terrorist attack, and this latest development certainly seems to indicate that terrorism could be a strong possibility.
