TweetDeck is arguably the hottest desktop client for Twitter. Now you can add Facebook functionality to it too!
TweetDeck has just joined Facebook Connect.
When you send a Tweetdeck message, you can now send it via Facebook, Twitter, or both.
A new column has been added to TweetDeck showing status updates from your friends on Facebook along with the current columns for tweets from people you follow on Twitter. Even better, if a Facebook friend is online, you will see a green dot by their name and you can open a chat with them.
TweetDeck will be gradually introducing the new feature over the coming days.
Now things are getting interesting. By pursuing Twitter apps, could Facebook finally put a nail in Twitter’s coffin?
Did you know that Tweetdeck accounts for 13 percent of Twitter users. That’s a pretty big number.
