Twitter is still on a tear! comScore has released new figures showing that Twitter’s global unique visitors figure in April, 2009 was an astounding 32 million, up from 19 million the month before.
To put it another way, Twitter has just blown past Digg (23 million), LinkedIn (16 million), and the NYTimes.com (17.5 million) in unique visitors per month. Remember too that comScore is only analyzing the users who actually visit the Twitter homepage. There are literally millions of others who tweet via their phones, desktop apps, etc.
Twitter.com has also now surpassed Bebo and Freindster.
In April alone, Twitter took on 13 million visitors, which is still more than the 9 million it had in March.
If Twitter keeps adding 10 million global visitors per month, the site could surpass 100 million by the end of the year.
Is there a "Twitter bubble?" Could there be a crash? Time will tell, but I wouldn't be surprised.
