Here is important “Twitter Don’t”:
Don’t tweet about your job interviews, unless of course, it’s a fantastic review of the hiring company.
Here’s a recent tweet from a lucky job applicant:
“Cisco just offered me a job! Now I have to weigh the utility of a fat paycheck against the daily commute to San Jose and hating the work.”
The tweet caught the attention of Tim Levad, a channel parter advocate for Cisco.
Levad responded:
“Who is the hiring manager? I’m sure they would love to know that you will hate the work. We here at Cisco are versed in the web.”
Perhaps it’s best to keep those editorial comments to yourself in the future – or at least post them on Facebook, where only your friends can see them.
