Turkey’s soccer championship final ended in a full-scale riot, as hundreds of angry fans of Istanbul‘s Fenerbahce reacted to their team’s goal-less tie.
After the game, Fenerbahce fans stormed the field and tossed flares and plastic chairs.
Police had to protect players with riot shields as they escaped to the locker rooms at Fenerbahce’s Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.
The violence continued outside with Fenerbahce fans throwing stones at police, turning over trash bins, and smashing store windows.
