Friday night on MSNBC, David Shuster (who was filling in for Ed Shultz) discussed some malicious signs at Thursday's Capitol Hill "House call" against health care reform.
The conversation, however, quickly turned into a dispute that prompted a Republican guest to walk off the set.
Former Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo did not want to criticize Republicans for taking part in the event, stating that there were signs that were just as offensive at anti-Bush rallies over the years. He insisted that they should discuss policy, not the offending signs.
Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitas defended health care reform, stating that the military uses government-run health care. Tancredo then mentioned that many veterans are dissatisfied with their health care and would rather have a private choice instead.
"Tom, I'm a veteran. Okay?" Moulitas replied. "I did not get a deferment because I was too depressed to fight a war I supported in Vietnam. I'm a veteran. They want a more effective V.A. ..."
"You're not going to do that. You're not going to try to insult me that way and then pretend like we're just going on and talk about that. You either apologize ..."
Moulitas didn't apologize, and Tancredo removed his earpiece and walked away. Video below...
