Beyonce Knowles' mother, Tina Knowles, has filed for divorce from Matthew Knowles, who is also Beyonce's manager. Mrs. Knowles filed the paperwork in November in the state of Texas. She wants to end their marriage of 29 years.
Matthew Knowles quit his job with IBM about 20 years ago to start managing Girl's Tyme, Beyonce's first group, which later changed its name to Destiny's Child. He has produced several of Beyonce's work, including the movie "Obsessed". He also founded Music World Entertainment, a label that, via Columbia Records, has released projects by Beyonce and sister Solange Knowles.
Beyonce's mom Tina is a stylist and co-founder of House of Dereon, a fashion line she debuted in 2004 with Beyonce.
Matthew was slapped with a paternity suit back in October from Alexsandra Wright, who at the time was six months pregnant with a child she claimed was his. No one knows whether or not that led to the divorce filing.
