Tim Tebow BooedTim Tebow was in attendance last night at Yankee Stadium to watch New York’s 11-5 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.

The newest member of the New York Jets, who is attending workouts with the team today, sat along the third base side next to the Angels dugout sporting a Yankees cap.

At one point, he was seen engaging in a conversation with Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat.

When Yankee Stadium’s video board showed Tebow, however, he was treated to a good old Bronx cheer, a chorus of mixed boos and cheers.

“That was my guess,” reliever David Robertson said of the loud reaction between innings, according to the New York Daily News. “I said, ‘Wow, they put Tebow up.’ That was funny. I’m sure there were cheers and boos. They say this is Giants territory.”

Many other athletes who’ve attended Yankees games have gotten a chance to meet the players, but not this time.

“I didn’t get a chance to see him. I would’ve loved to have had a chance to talk to him,” Joe Girardi said. “I’m sure he’ll be back at some point. Obviously, he’s going to be around a lot more now, but I’d love to visit with him at some point.”

Wade was initially booed as well when he was first shown on the big screen, but he quickly held up a Yankees hat, turning the crowd to his favor.
