Tiger Woods and his people were willing to fork over $200,000 to try and pay off a witness who knew about his affair with Rachel Uchitel.
They even went so far as to hire a private investigator to find dirt on Woods’ accusers in an effort to discredit them and keep the scandal quiet.

Ashley Samson, the first woman to disclose that Woods had an affair with Uchitel, now admits that the golf superstar’s people offered her as much as $200,000 to deny that Tiger was involved with Rachel.
Samson states in the latest issue of the National Enquirer:
“Tiger Woods’ people offered me $200,000 to change my story and deny he was having an affair with Rachel. He wanted me to say that I was not telling the truth about them and that I was withdrawing my statements he was cheating on his wife with Rachel.”
Sources confirm that Samson was indeed offered the $200,000, but say that the money was simply for her to remain quiet, not to change her story.
Samson made out OK, though, as the Enquirer reportedly ended up paying her $25,000 to tell her story.
As for the plan to hire a private investigator to dig up dirt on Woods’ accusers, that was obviously a disaster as up to ten women have now reportedly been tied to the Nike spokesperson, including a restaurant waitress and a porn star.
