The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is much anticipated, and not only because it contains Heath Ledger’s final performance before he died from an accidental overdose in a Manhattan loft where he was living in January 2008, mere months following his separation from Michelle Williams, the mother of the their daughter, Matilda.
The film was directed by Terry Gilliam, the mind that brought us Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Brazil and more recently Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, about “gonzo” journalist Hunter S. Thompson.
