F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You

Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk speaks his mind, I'll give him that.

Toward the end of last year,  a New York Times column by writer Randall Stross wrote that Tesla Motors was hoping for some government funds to manufacture its vehicles, which he wrote that only the very wealthy would be able to afford.

Yahoo TechTicker did an interview last week with Elon Musk at the unveiling of the Model S in Silicon Valley.  He gave his thoughts on the loan and had some harsh things to say about Stross:

  • “Randall Stross is a huge douchebad - and an idiot.  What is he doing picking on an electric car company? Why would he pick on the little guy who is trying to do good when you’ve got egregious waste of money in the tens of billions occurring in Detroit?”
  • “All existing investors in Tesla – me or common stock holders, the employees – will only get paid back if we repay that entire loan to the government.”
  • Tesla is applying for just 1.5% of the $25 billion appropriation.
  • Musk says he’s almost 100% sure the company will get it, and get it soo

Clearly, Musk believes that Tesla is worthy of a $350 million loan, and isn't afraid to say so.
