Teddy Riley, a singer in the R&B group Blackstreet, has been accused of using a toy guitar from the “Rock Band” video game in a violent assault on his kids.
Taja Riley, 18, has obtained a temporary restraining order against her father. She says Teddy, 43, abused both her and her older sister by “stomping, punching and bashing them” in his home in Los Angeles on December 23.
In documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Taja says that, at one point, Teddy, “lifted a Rock Band guitar and threatened to kill person(s) w/ it.”
Taja goes on to say that she sustained several injuries in the alleged beatdown, including “bashes to temple, contusion on face” and “pain in knee.”
Teddy Riley must now stay at least 100 yards away from daughter Taja.
The next formal hearing will take place in January.
