F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You

Technorati has just launched the beta version of their new ad network, Technorati Engage. After much speculation and an acquisition back in October, it was unclear as to when and if this would even happen.  Looks like that question has now been answered.

The took place rather quietly...heck, it hasn't even been mentioned on the Technorati blog...which makes me think that they may not yet be ready for a full-scale launch at this point.

After acquiring the AdEngage advertising platform in October, they immediately announced the launch of a private Technorati advertising service. The quick turnaround tim seemed to indicate that Technorati was eager to keep things moving.

The new advertising network offers three options:

  • Text Ad
  • Photo Ads
  • 125 x 125 banners

For advertisers, there are some handy stats about publisher sites, including estimated number of clicks per ad per week, average weekly views per ad, and a geographical breakdown of click sources.

Even though it’s in beta, there don't seem to be ANY restrictions on ads at this stage. If I were you, I would go sign up.
