Police said a vehicle crashed into a tanker truck late Saturday night in Glendale, California, sending flames and smoke billowing into the air.
The fiery collision in the westbound lanes of Highway 134 near the junction with Highway 5 had both arteries clogged.
The drivers of both vehicles somehow managed to escape to safety.
Amazingly, no one else was injured in the crash.
Approximately 150 firefighters had the blaze out in about 90 minutes.
A truly amazing job by all involved.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the tanker has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
