Swine Flu Reaches Maryland

The Swine Flu virus has made it here to Blippitt’s home state of Maryland.  Health officials report six “probable” cases of Swine Flu in Maryland.
Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley has indicated that the flu samples have been shipped to the CDC for confirmation of the Swine Flu virus.  The results are due back on Thursday.

Swine Flu: WHO Raises Pandemic Alert Level to 5

The World Health Organization has just raised its pandemic alert to 5.  This is the 2nd-highest level, which means that the outbreak of the Swine Flu virus is nearing widespread human infection.

Swine Flu in Maine – Outbreak Spreads
