Blizzard of 2010 Over, Baltimore Snow Totals Could Break Record

The snow has finally stopped and the Blizzard Warnings have been dropped.  This storm packed a wallop that much of the Mid-Atlantic will be dealing with for quite some time.

No, hell hasn’t frozen over, but the state of Florida has.  The weather down south has been just plain weird lately.

Tsunami Advisory in California, Dozens Dead in Samoa

The National Weather Service has issued a tsunami advisory for some coastal areas of California, including Santa Cruz County, following the 8.3 earthquake that struck American Samoa on Tuesday.
The advisory is really just a heads-up to mariners because the threat seems to be minimal. The tsunami size is being estimated in centimeters.

Tropical Storm Danny: Projected Path

The National Weather Service has predicted that Tropical Storm Danny could evolve into Hurricane Danny within the next few days. The Tropical Storm Danny projected path also shows the storm affecting several east coast states.
The National Hurricane Center issued the first official advisory for Tropical Storm Danny on Wednesday at 11:00am EST.

2009 Hurricane Names

Just about the only things that are predictable about the 2009 hurricane season are the names of the storms.
For U.S. readers, there are two lists to which you should refer…the Pacific-based hurricane list and the Atlantic list.
