Space Shuttle Landing: Endeavour Returns Safely Today

The space shuttle Endeavour landed safety on Friday, having spent 16 days in space. Endeavour landed at 10:48am EDT at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The seven-member crew departed on July 15th after five previous launch attempts were scrubbed due to inclement weather and a few technical issues.

NASA was again forced to postpone the launch of the space shuttle Endeavour on Monday because of bad weather near the Kennedy Space Center.
“The weather has just bitten us again,” launch director Pete Nickolenko told the Endeavour crew.

NASA Delays Endeavor Launch Due to Gas Leak

A hydrogen leak has forced NASA to cancel Saturday’s planned launch of the space shuttle Endeavour.
NASA stopped fueling the shuttle Saturday morning after noticing a leak emanating from the hydrogen venting system near the external fuel tank.  That system usually carries hydrogen safely away from the launch pad.

Space Shuttle Landing: Double Sonic Boom from Atlantis

After numerous scrapped attempts due to inclement weather, Atlantis experienced a near-perfect space shuttle landing on Sunday morning.
During the voyage, the Atlantis crew likely made their final spacewalk ever from a shuttle airlock.  The shuttle itself also probably flew its final mission to a location other than the International Space Station.
