Yahoo has managed to pull off a coup by purchasing the domain name OMG.com for just $80,000.  The company just made the purchase last week.
Sure, that may seem like a lot of money, but remember that, not too long ago, candy.com sold for $3 million and toys.com sold for $5.1 million.

Candy.com Sells for $3 Million

Domain registrations and investments are showing signs of life in 2009. There is no better indicator of this than the recent acquisition of the candy.com domain name.
